Inspired by the original wiki (see c2.com) but allowing far more options for structure and configuration, a new collaborative content platform could:
- Support a range of basic contribution models (wiki, blog, discussion, etc)
- Support a range of classifications (tags, categories, ratings, rankings etc)
- Support aggregation of content into feeds, bespoke pages etc
- Have a “porous” architecture allowing new contribution, classification and aggregation types to plugged in using a clear API
- Be based on an event-driven model, to support both scalability and the “plug-in” approach just mentioned
- That’s all for now…
